Default new drug for cancer treatment + prevention, antiaging and other benefits

The name is rapamycin, its an antibiotic as well as anticancer and anti-rejection drug. It has also been shown to extend lifespan in older animals and speculation is that it will extend human lifespan even when given at old age.

Experiments with various small animals as well as yeast and fruitflies found it extended lifespan by up to 38%. It does it by a complicated process in which it suppresses a signaling pathway that is important early in life but becomes counter productive later in life. It treats cancer and blocks new cancer from forming. The downside is that it lowers the immune reaction so might leave you more vulnerable to infections though it is an antibiotic all by itself. It also treats fungal infections.

No studies have been done on humans for antiaging properties, it would take decades to get results and no one wants to pay for that since huge profits can't be squeezed out of it. A number of people have used it and one thing they report is that it leads to a reduction in weight, they lost fat. That alone makes it very interesting, the cancer prevention is very interesting, the life extension is interesting too

So after hearing about it for years I finally took the plunge. Its expensive but a few places sell it cheap. I've seen 0.5 mg tabs for 4 or $5 each when you buy 30, I found a well respected place that sells 5mg tabs 12 for $80. I take 1/4 of a tab per week, on my second week so far without any bad side effects. Weight loss is iffy, I was a lb down after a week but that could be anything or nothing.

here is a link to get you started if interested in learning more. I will not post the place where I got it, pm if you want it. This is a potent drug and not to be played with carelessly. Probably not for you young folks under 40. It also prevents epilepsy and other things.

I've been taking it for about 10 weeks now. No weight loss darn it. The only bad effects were a tiny sore spot in the roof of my mouth which went away and a slight rash on my arms and abdomen after a few weeks of use. I stopped for a couple weeks and it went away and did not come back when I resumed. I heard other people say similar things about it.

On the positive side it helps my arthritis quite a bit or at least it doesn't bother me as much. It was getting worse and worse but now much better. I sill take supplements for it and occasionally use ultrasound or red light but haven't needed it much lately. It seems as though my muscles might be firmer now, but that is kind of subjective.

I bought a gram of rapamycin from china, wrote about it in another forum. It worked out to about 14 cents a milligram which is very cheap. I put it in high proof rum since it does not dissolve in water. I've been taking 1.25 mg a week, I plan to up the dose very gradually and will back off if any side effects pop up.

There are lots of studies showing benefits for this compound. I learned recently that its good for the skin too. You can put it topically and its supposed to help a lot without it getting into your system just on the skin. They mixed it with vasoline. I could take some of my solution and mix with vasoline and make a skin cream. Might be better than anything on the market and since i already have the stuff, might as well try it. They say to use about 1 part rapamycin per 100,000 parts vasoline. So 1 mg of rapa mixed with 10 gm vasoline should work. They said use it once or twice a day.

There are people who have used rapa for years and say it helped them a lot. Its supposed to rejuvenate your mitochondira, those are the tiny organelles in each cell that provide energy. If people feel tired and have less energy as they get older it may be their mitochondria are wearing out. It is supposed to stop cells from becoming senescent. I seem to be getting more things done, I feel less lazy than usual these past months so maybe its working.

They say take it just once a week for best results. Its cheap and I heard so much positive said about it the last few years I finally decided to give it a try. So far so good, the relief from arthritic pain alone makes it worth it and the other benefits are supposed to be even better.

  4. Thanks, exactly why I asked. I have psoriatic arthritis so it's possible this will help me. Doctors like the biological injections but I've heard horrible things like people getting MSRA infections and cellulitis. Also, with the weekly rapa dosing it's not really expensive. I hope it continues to help you!

    Hey all,

So many of the effects remind me of the anti aging drug that became real popular about 10-15 yrs ago, HGH, but the only real way of getting the proper effects was via injection...When I was studying all of that back then people were also real into melanotan 1 & 11 to make you look tan..., HGH is supposed to be great for skin & hair, weight loss or keeping more of your muscle mass & it countered Grey hair in some I heard..

Anyhow it was supposed to do all the same things, help w/anti aging, skin & hair, weigh pain reduction for most inflammatory Like issues.& I'm probably missing many more..

I've also heard of this drug but didn't realize they actually sold it anywhere yet.... What's so off to me is most antibiotics can bring on ayeast infection, yeast likes this but it kills fungus.... that's a trip to me....
I could use w/a bit of all of it...Over the last 5-7 yrs & all I was put thru, then that all snowballed into a bunch more things & im still not any better, infact my stress/anxiety is so much worse lately... I saw this all the time in volunteering w/people & animals, but it was always most obvious in people w/dark hair... When they were under too much stress, too shocking for their system, it just ages you so fast, grey hair like over night... it's crazy! I watched it happen w/my female Golden who was a dark red Golden. She almost died when my eldest passed because she was the 1st foster an adoppted while volunteering. She was 8 mos when I got her, only weighed 40lbs when she should've been up to 55-60ish.. She was very badly abused & real sick when I got her.. My eldest Boy at the time was a typical BIG Golden, everyone is my best friend, including other doggies... But my poor girl Lucy she shook w/fear w/everything, esp men.. She had never been socialized around another animal before, so my big boy scared her at 1st.. Funny thing was he was so smart, like psychic smart w/all kinds of things & I could never trick him!
Anyhow he left her alone all on his own for about 2 weeks & allowed her to come to him..As soon as that happened they were brother & sister.. It was an amazing thing to witness, that & the 1st time she smiled..
When my boy passed she went into immediate deep depression & just shut down..
I almost lost her, had to rush her to the ER... then she had to have a surgery... in a matter of like 2 mos her young face just went grey & because of her past she was very easy to tell when she didn't feel good or was unhappy...

I saw it happen w/people a lot too, really any major or chronic life change... It sure did a number on me! People have always though I looked about 15 yrs younger than I am... now, no way & my body feels ancient w/pain & the other symptoms...

I'm curious are you following some sort of regime or protocol? I was just curious as to why you were taking such a tiny amount 1x a week....
I'm also curious to know which funguses it will kill... that's really quite facinating to me! ,

I do hope you'll keep us updated on your trial w/this!! It would be super cool if you found something that offered you some good side effects, that that NZT didn't cost a minimum of $10 grand & something you didn't have to take a whole lot of!... Oh & taking it orally is interesting too! I know HGHonly works by injection... I remember all the companies putting out tons of expensive products claiming they worked but there's no way they could work like real injectable HGH

This is very interesting! I hope you are able to notice some good effects!! Now all we need is that NZT from limitless... or something that made you ultra smart, ultra fast! I would love that!

Awesome topic & very eager to hear about what happens next w/you!

Hope you all have had a nice start to your New Year!!
    Take care,
    SP

Apples and coconuts, hgh is a hormone and rapamycin is an antibiotic. It does its anti aging effects by inhibiting a certain process that seems to correspond with age the mtor1. Its too involved to easily explain here but its not a hormone it works indirectly.

To sum up the results I've seen so far, no bad effects except the transient rash and tiny sore which went away. The good results are that my severely arthritic ankle is not bothering me anymore. This was not expected but I did read a report or two saying they got that effect. The other good thing is my muscles have become firmer and I think stronger. I have not been doing any extra weight lifting, a little now and then same as before but I like the new firmness. Another good thing is that my bad back which has bothered me now for nearly 2 years improved a good bit during my taking of the rapa.

Outside of the physical effects, my mood seems to be better and more positive. I can't say for certain its all because of the rapamycin but the two seemed to coincide. They say this will roll back the clock, I say yeah sure how many times have we heard that? So I really don't think it will make you young again but it seems to help and I keep taking it. Just the reduction in joint pain makes it worth it, the mood boost is nice and my back is better. And now I've taken to feeling my shoulders and other areas from time to time to verify the fact I'm getting more solid.

Someone said they didn't get any weight loss until after about 6 months. That would be the cherry on top of the sundae. And if people start saying I look 20 years old... then I better wake up and stop dreaming, lol.
