    Default Propecia and generic Minoxidil.

I'm in my 40's been getting that receiding hairline for about 8 years, plus the bald spot on the back. My wife is young and beautiful, so I feel like I really need to keep up with my looks (God I sound like a commercial). Anyways, I got a script for propcia/pelosta from my dr and have been ordering it from canadian websites for a few years now. I also buy the generic Minoxidil they sell at Sams club and use it twice a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. I know the instructions for the Minoxidil say it's for hairloss on the back of the head only, but of course I rub it into the front where it's receding. I must say I'm very, very happy with the results. I've gained back most of my hair, and don't lose anymore. The bad side is your sexual appetite decreases, so you're not as always interested in sex, but that's what the Cialis (also bought from Canadian pharmacy) is for.

So, what I'm saying is that these 2 things have definitely helped. I'm not saying "I'm the president of Sam's Club Minoxidil, but I am a member!"

That stuff can really mess up your hormones. It can significantly drop your testosterone levels and mess it up for the rest of your life. I would encourage you to do your homework and read about other guys who wish they never touched the stuff. I wouldn't take it. Or at least make sure you are comfortable doing Testosterone Replacement Therapy for the rest if your life. Injecting test twice a week isn't all it is cracked up to be. At a minimum get blood work now to establish a baseline and periodically to make sure things are not deteriorating. Check Total testosterone, estradiol, LH, FSH, and TSH.

Just saying... do your research on that stuff before it seriously ruins your life.

P.S. Cialis doesn't affect your libido. It just helps you get and maintain erections.

I have thinning hair, but I think I'm going to just live with it. Lord knows I don't need to add anymore meds. I was wrestling with my three year old a few months back and he said "Daddy, you have a hole in your hair". Lol.

It's time to up your game. Ask your doctor if he would change your script to Dutasteride 0.5mg and also use Ketoconazole 2% shampoo a couple of times per week (ie, Nizoral, but Generics work the same). Minoxidil works at the front hairline/temples as you are already aware.

p.s. I wouldn't mess with Testosterone Replacement Therapy (injections or patch) unless absolutely called for by your doctor. Once you start, you are hooked as your body will down-regulate your own testosterone production once you start the injections making you completely reliant on injections from that time forward.

  8. Statham and Nic Cage look? Or not. Use dutasteride and minoxidil and do the Clooney.

When you say "that stuff", are your comments specific to Propecia or is Minoxidil known to impair hormones as well?

I would be hesitant/reluctant about taking either of them.
