Thumbs down Just read a story in local news about a big controlled delivery

I was online reading our online local TV news webpage and there was a story of an arrest of an a man on a controlled delivery through the USPS.

He ordered 23,000 pills and it didn't say what they were. It said they found them in NY and set up the sting there. They delivered them to the post office and once he picked them up, signed for them and got in his car and opened the package they swarmed in with the swat and took into custody. It even said they were showing the drugs to the customers walking Into the post office.

First off do not order 23k in pills. Second off do not open a package at your post office. And third, I will just stop while I am ahead here in this story. Just thought I would share.

I’m actually glad there are people out there doing this stuff. Bigger fish to fry.

He was arrested in Georgia, but Customs and Border Protection in NYC discovered it. Says he used WhatsApp, a messaging app.

Also it appears this guy was already busted no matter what he did. Even if he changed his mind and didn’t pick the Tram and Soma up, I bet they still would have arrested him.

Oh goodness! He made several smaller orders. One of the vendors on here labels tram as supplements too. Makes me a bit anxious.

Whoa. That’s a big order. Still scary. Especially because it was just tram. That’s just people trying to deal with pain and can’t get relief from their doctors. Victimless crime there.

He obviously didn't think this through. He must have realized with such a big order that it would be flagged and result in seizure and arrest.

I would bet he worked as a domestic distributor for one of the Indian vendors. Often they provide an option for domestic delivery for a higher cost to those who need something quick and don’t want to wait for a pack from India. Several of those are here on PR.

After reading the article again, it appears there were “several packages” (possibly ten) involved, and also he had at least two PO Boxes.

Also it says the inspector “notified Johnson that the package was ready to be retrieved.”

So if you get a call from your local post office, maybe be a little cautious.

It sounds like the guy was quite brazen, and his car was filled with “evidence.” He was very careless.

Ah, I see, never thought of that. You are probably right, still they should have come up with a safer option for delivery, like say have multiple addresses or something.

This is probably a us2us vendor and not a customer. My take on this. Careful out there folks. M

The box looks familar but not shipped from same area. Shitty shitty bang bang. He obviously sent meds to us customers for overseas company, but that is scary. 23,000 pills is alot and will draw attention to u, plus 2 po boxes- He should of opened one in a different post office. In Atlanta there are probably many to choose from.

After re-reading the article- why didnt they put it in one box, that was stupid and probably stuck out like a sore thumb

The article I read said they were just willy nilly showing the drugs to customers walking into the post office...why would you need to do that?!?! And I am sure he was a distributor of sorts...he had to be...

Yes, where and what we do ,always use your radar. This sounds like a big bummer for some forum members?

  18. Do you guys think this will result in more packages getting opened that look similar to the ones in the article?

They just look like regular brown boxes. There's nothing about them that screams, "I'M FILLED WITH DRUGS!"

But it looks Exactly like ones I get from a popular vendor in here. Starting to think I need to stop ordering.

This is a US reshipper...hes probably made a deal with some vendor overseas to reship from within the states and as you see, it didnt work out to good. This is only my OP.
